PC VERSION
: runs on the Windows 98/ME, Windows NT/2000/XP
platform. May run on some versions of Windows 95.
Best results are obtained when running
Photorescue on Windows NT/2000/XP. Physical drive
option not available on Windows 98.
APPLE
MACINTOSH VERSION : Mac OS X, at a level that
supports external USB or Firewire card readers.
Photorescue works on Smart Media cards, Compact Flash cards, Sony Memory Sticks, SD cards, MMC cards, XD Cards and IBM Microdrives. Photorescue also works on most other cards and external storage devices.
Able to
access image files, logical or physical devices (NT/W2K/XP/Mac
OS X only).
Optimized to
recover jpeg, tiff and other most typical camera
RAW file formats.
Able to
create card image files for backup purposes.
Unerase
and/or data recovery from SmartMedia cards,
CompactFlash cards, Memory Sticks, IBM
Microdrives, floppy discs, and Sony CD ROMs that
have not be reformatted.
Photorescue
is safe to use: It does not contain any code that
writes to the cards.
Requires only
1.2MB of disk space - may require up to twice the
size of the card being recovered.

version comes with free updates and technical
support for a period of one year from date of
purchase.
